Councilmen%ber moved for its adoption: introduced the following resolution and RESOLUTION 89-2- RESOLUTION ORDERING APPLICATION FOR A COOPERATIVE OPPORTUNITIES FOR RESOURCE ENHANCEMENT (C.O.R.E.) PROGRAM FISHING PIER IN RIVER'S BEND PARK WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Ramsey has supported the development of recreation facilities at River's Bend Park, and WHEREAS, facility improvements at the park were undertaken in 1988, and WHEREAS, the Council's intent is to enhance outdoor recreation activities within the park for disabled and physically limited individuals, and WHEREAS, the Council's intent is to allocate up to $136,000 in 1989 for further enhancement of the park including landscaping and establishment of native prairie. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City desires to enhance opportunities within the park. recreational fishing 2) That Merland Otto of Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. shall prepare an application and submit to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources for a CORE grant for construction and installation of a fishing pier. 3) That the City will enter into necessary agreements with DNR for the routine maintenance, insurance and operation of the pier upon notification of approval from the DNR. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey city Council this the 14th day of March, 1989.
