Councilmen%ber <br />moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 89-2- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING APPLICATION FOR A COOPERATIVE OPPORTUNITIES FOR <br />RESOURCE ENHANCEMENT (C.O.R.E.) PROGRAM FISHING PIER IN RIVER'S <br />BEND PARK <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Ramsey has supported <br />the development of recreation facilities at River's Bend Park, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, facility improvements at the park were undertaken in <br />1988, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council's intent is to enhance outdoor recreation <br />activities within the park for disabled and physically limited <br />individuals, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council's intent is to allocate up to $136,000 <br />in 1989 for further enhancement of the park including landscaping <br />and establishment of native prairie. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City desires to enhance <br />opportunities within the park. <br /> <br />recreational <br /> <br />fishing <br /> <br />2) That Merland Otto of Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. shall <br />prepare an application and submit to the Minnesota Department of <br />Natural Resources for a CORE grant for construction and <br />installation of a fishing pier. <br /> <br />3) That the City will enter into necessary agreements with DNR <br />for the routine maintenance, insurance and operation of the pier <br />upon notification of approval from the DNR. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by <br />the Ramsey city Council this the 14th day of March, 1989. <br /> <br /> <br />
