councilmember <br />moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #88- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR LANDSCAPE AND <br />GROUNDS MAINTENANCE AT CITY PARKS (SERVICE PROJECT #89-1) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for 1989 <br />maintenance at City parks (Project 89-1), bids were received, <br />opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were <br />received complying with the advertisement: <br /> <br />Bidder <br /> <br />Amount of Bid <br /> <br />: J.T. Noonan Co., Inc. <br /> <br />$41,724.50 <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that J.T. Noonan Co., Inc. of Brooklyn <br />Center, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator/Clerk are hereby <br />authorized and directed to enter into a contract with J.T. Noonan <br />Co., Inc. of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota in the name of the City of <br />Ramsey for landscape and ground maintenance at city parks according <br />to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the Ramsey <br />City Council and on file in the office of the City <br />Administrator/Clerk and as may be modified by negotiations with the <br />low bidder. The base contract amount shall not exceed the bid <br />amount of $41,724.50. <br /> <br /> 2) The City Administrator/Clerk is hereby authorized and <br />directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with <br />their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder shall <br />be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br /> 3) The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed <br />to enter into negotiations with J.T. Noonan Company, Inc. for the <br />purpose of modifying the scope of the contract to comply with the <br />level of effort budgeted by the City Council's action. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by <br />the Ramsey city Council this the 25th day of April, 1989. <br /> <br /> <br />
