Mr. Banwan noted that the proposed plat has b~en forwarded to the County and DNR for <br />review; Ramsey City Staff recommendation at this time is to table action on the plat until a <br />response has been received fi.om those two ~roups. <br /> <br />Ron Ross - Stated that he can hit water by digging less than 5 feet deep in his back yar& <br /> <br />Berg stated that Wildwood is planned to drain to the south. <br /> <br />Jim Wood - 8230 173rd - Stated that he recalls that the soils are too wet to accommodate <br />sweet construction. <br /> <br />Mr. Berg stated that DNR is researching the plat; the City is requiting Wildwood to connect <br />to I76th in Counn3'side Estates; if DNR denies that street ali~ment because of poor soils, <br />then an alternate access will have to be found. <br /> <br />Doug Pries - 17511 Gibbon - Stated that there have been times when the holding pond has <br />encroached almost up to his house; he was forced to install a mound septic system; inquired <br />as to what guarantee he has that the Wildwood development won't cause his basement to <br />flood. <br /> <br />]Vfike Rishavy - 8060 176th - Inquired as to the numar of acres in Wildwood, the zoning, <br />numar of acres that are in the flood plain. <br /> <br />I,,~. Berg stated that the plat consists of 80 acres; the property is zoned R-1 Rural <br />Residential which requires a minimum of 2.5 acres per unit; approximately 15 acres is in <br />the flood plain and that acreage can be incopomted into thc lots. <br /> <br />Mike Rishavy - Stated that he installed a new d.rainfield in !988 and so ddd several of his <br />neighbors; drainaee is a crucial issue to be addressed before the Wildwood plat is approve~ <br />Unless he is provided with specific im%rmafion stating that the water table can handle the <br />additional runoff; he is going on record as being opposed to <br /> <br />Commissioner Shumway stated that the Planning and Zoning Comn'fission is not in the <br />habit of approving plats that will drain onto somebc>dy elses' property; the plat of <br />Wildwood is being reviewed by DNR and engineers for input as to how it can be <br />developed without impact sm"'roundSng propeffies.
