eo <br /> <br />The home occupation operation must be conducted entirely by personal <br />computer, phone, mail, shipment, or delivery of merchandise, and such <br />deliveries must not generate vehicular traffic within the neighborhood in <br />greater volume than would normally be expected in a residential district and <br />shall not restrict traffic circulation. <br /> <br />f. Off-street parking is provided in accordance with sub-section 9.11.10 Off- <br /> Street Parking of this Code. <br /> <br /> Subd. 2. Home Occupation Permit Required. Home occupations that do <br />not strictly adhere to the criteria of Subd. ~1 of this sub-section shall require either a Principal <br />Dwelling Home Occupation Permit or an Accessory Structure Home Occupation Permit. No <br />Principal Dwelling or Accessory Structure Home Occupation shall be permitted without the prior <br />issuance of a Home Occupation Permit. <br /> <br /> Subd. 3. Principal Dwelling Home Occupations. The intent of a principal <br />dwelling home occupation is to allow the property owner the opportunity to operate a low profile <br />business within the principal dwelling, excluding attached or detached garages, and there shall <br />not be any exterior evidence of the existence of said business. It is the intent of the principal <br />dwelling home occupation section for the property owner to have a vested interest in the <br />business, as the City does not desire to create business incubators for lease within the residential <br />district. <br /> <br />Principal Dwelling Home Occupations. shall be restricted to the building, <br />which is used as the private dwelling, and excludes any attached or detached <br />accessory structure. - <br /> <br />b. An applicant for a Principal Dwelling Home Occupation Permit must reside at <br /> the location of the proposed home occupation. <br /> <br />c. No interior or exterior business signs or displays shall be permitted unless <br /> specifically addressed as part of the conditions of the permit. <br /> <br />d. There shall be no exterior storage of business equipment, materials, <br /> merchandise, inventory, or heavy equipment. <br /> <br />e. The area set aside for home the occupation shall not exceed 20% of the total <br /> floor area of such residence. <br /> <br />Principal Dwelling Home Occupations shall not include the employment of <br />any persons not residing on the premises in the performance of the <br />occupation. <br /> <br />go <br /> <br />The number of clients or customers permitted on the premises at one time <br />shall be limited and shall not create a parking demand in excess of that which <br />can be accommodated in an existing driveway. <br /> <br /> 2 <br />November 11, 2003 City Council meeting <br /> <br /> <br />
