ho <br /> <br />The operation will not be permitted if the density and lot sizes of the <br />surrounding neighborhood are determined to be too dense and therefore not <br />compatible with the proposed home occupation operation. <br /> <br />i. Off-street parking requirements must comply with sub-section 9.11.10 Off <br /> Street Parking, of this Code. <br /> <br />jo <br /> <br />Sale of merchandise shall be limited to minor products that are ancillary to the <br />Principal Dwelling Home Occupation operation and must be displayed or <br />stored within the principal dwelling. <br /> <br />k° <br /> <br />The operation shall not be granted a Permit if the Findings of Fact determine <br />that the proposed home occupation may constitute a fire hazard to neighboring <br />residences, adversely affect neighboring property values, or constitute a <br />nuisance or otherwise be detrimental to the neighbors because of excessive <br />traffic, excessive noise, odors or other circumstances. <br /> <br />In order to guarantee that a home occupation, once authorized, will not <br />become a nuisance to the neighbors or otherwise violate these guidelines, the <br />Planning Commission may recommend and the Council may impose, <br />reasonable conditions necessary to protect the public health, safety, and <br />welfare. <br /> <br />Subd. 4. Accessory Structure Home Occupations. The intent of an <br />accessory structure home occupation permit is to allow the property owner the <br />opportunity to operate a low profile business within an attached or detached <br />accessory structure. It is the intent of the accessory structure home occupation that <br />the property owner has a vested interest in the business, as the City does not want <br />to promote leasing accessory structures to non-resident business owners within <br />the residential district. <br /> <br />Accessory Structure Home Occupations may be permitted within an <br />attached or detached accessory structure provided that the accessory <br />structure is located on the same parcel as the principal dwelling. The City <br />Council may also review requests for an Accessory Structure Home <br />Occupation for pre-existing, situations where an accessory structure is <br />located on a parcel that does not contain a principal dwelling if such <br />situation existed prior to the adoption of this ordinance. <br /> <br />bo <br /> <br />Accessory Structure Home Occupation Permits may be permitted on parcels <br />three (3) acres (130,680 square feet) in size or greater. <br /> <br />Accessory Structure Home Occupations will not be considered for <br />operations relating to internal combustion engines, body shops, ammunition <br /> <br /> 3 <br />November 11, 2003 City Council meeting <br /> <br /> <br />
