Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #89-05- RESOLUTION CONFIRMING PERSONNEL COMMITTEE ACTION WHEREAS, on Monday, May 8, 1989 at 5:00 p.m. the Personnel Committee of lhe City of Ramsey met to consider filling the vacancies of Public Works Maintenance Worker and Personnel Coordinator and to discuss the full-time status of the Building Maintenance position, the hiring of a secretary, and the employee status of Bruce Bacon, Tree Inspector/Fire Warden; and WHEREAS, on Tue. sd~ay, May 9, 19.89'~"at 6:25 p.m. the Personnel Committee of the City of Rsmsey reconvened.,~/consider fill~e vacancy of Personnol Coordinator. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: The City Council of Ramsey hereby confirms the following actions of the Personnel Committee: 1) That the City Administrator is authorized to offer the position of Public Works Maintenance Worker to Mr. Grant Riemer with a starting rate of pay of $8.55 per hour and a starting date of May 15, 1989, contingent upon a satisfactory pre-employment physical examination. In the event that Mr. Grant Riemer does not accept/qualify for the position, the City Administrator is authorized to extend the same offer to Mr. James Lacey. 2.~T'~e City Administrator is authorized to offer the position of Personnel Coordinator tO/ / with a starting rate of pay of $ per hour and a st~ar~ date of // ~ May 15, 3) That the Building Maintenance position is established as full-time effective 1989. 4) That the employment status of Mr. Bruce Bacon, Tree Inspector/Fire Warden is changed from contractor to part-time regular employee with an hourly rate of pay of $9.50 effective May 15, 1989 and that monthly retainer and office costs will be discontinued effective June 1, 1989. 5) That the City Administrator is' authorized to advertise for a full-time secretary/clerical position. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 9th day of May, 1989.
