Councilmember moved for its adoption: introduced the following resolution and RESOLUTION #89-05- RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR 1989 PAVEMENT CRACK FILLING, SERVICE PROJECT 89-2 WHEREAS, pursuant to an invitation for bids May 1, 1989 for 1989 Pavement Crack Filling (Service Project 89-2), bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Bidder Base Bid Base Bid W/Alternate Bergman Companies, Inc. Astech Asphalt Surface Tech. .$3,589 $ 7,760 $5,550 $10,280 AND WHEREAS, it appears that Bergman Companies, of Eau Claire, Wisconsin is the lowest responsible bidder. Inc. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Mayor and city Administrator/Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to award a contract to Bergman Companies, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for 1989 Pavement Crack Filling, Service Project 89-2, according to the plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer and on file in the office of the City Administrator/Clerk. 2) The city Administrator/Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and two next lowest bidders shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 9th day of May, 1989.
