CASE # 11 <br /> <br /> APPROVE FIRE PROTECTION <br /> TRANS{TION PLAN <br />By: Bruce Hoeke, Fire Chief <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />It is hereby requested that the Ramsey Volunteer Fire Department have phase-in periods with <br />the Anoka-Champlin Joint Fire Department and the Elk River Fire Department as follows: <br /> <br />PHASE-IN WITH ANOKA-CHAMPLIN: <br /> <br />July 1, 1989 - grass fires only <br />A) Anoka County Communications would tone out Ramsey at the same time <br /> Anoka-Champlin is called. <br /> <br />PHASE I1: <br />July 1, 1990 - house, structure, car, and grass fires <br />A ) Anoka County Communications would page Ramsey at the same time <br /> Anoka-Champlin is being alerted. <br /> <br />.PHASE I~1: <br />January 1, 1991 <br />A) Ramsey would respond to all fires in Ramsey. <br />B ) Mutual aid would be used for assistance. <br /> <br />PHASE-IN WITH ELK RIVER: <br /> <br />.PHASE h <br />July 1, 1989 - grass fires only <br />A) Ramsey would be paged at the same time Elk River is paged. <br /> <br /> pHASE <br />January 1, 1990 (tentative) - grass fires only <br />A) Ramsey would respond to grass fires totally without Elk River's <br /> assistance. <br /> <br /> PHASE Ilh <br /> February 1, 1990 (tentative) - house, structure, car, and grass fires <br />A) Ramsey would be totally responsible for all fires that Elk River has been <br /> responding to. <br /> <br />During phase-in periods, Ramsey will assist at the direction and at the discretion of the Anoka- <br />Champlin and Elk River Fire Departments. <br /> <br /> <br />
