AUTHORIZE PURCHASE <br />TOT LOT/PLAYGROUND EQUiPMEET <br /> FOR CiTY PARKS <br /> <br />BY: MERLAND OTTO <br /> <br />Case fY <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The 1989 Parks Capital Improvements Budget included $15,600 for the <br />installation of playground equipment at River's Bend, Titterud, and <br />Autumn Heights Parks. A petition was presented to the City last <br />year by residents of the River's Bend area for a tot lot to be <br />constructed at River's Bend Par][. <br /> <br />The backlog period between ordering and receiving play equipment <br />ts~pica!!y is about six weeks. Thus, if authorized~equipment could <br />be received and installed in late July or early August this year. <br /> <br />The Parks Commission will have discussed this in detail at their <br />June 8th meeting and will make recommendations for your June 13th <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />civic groups have donated their labor for installation of equipment <br />in the past.
