ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE R3~SEY ZONING ORDINANCE <br /> SECTION 170.03 SUBDIVISION <br /> <br />THE RAMSEY CITY COUNCIL DOES ORDAIN: <br /> <br />Section 170.039V Public Sidewalks and Trailways. <br /> <br />1. PURPOSE STATEMENT <br /> <br />The purpose of this Ordinance is to provide a comprehensive <br />guide plan for pedestrian walkways and trailways throughout <br />the city to protect the health, safety and welfare of its <br />citizens pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 435.44. <br /> <br />2. SIDEWALKS LOCATION AND SIZE <br /> <br />The City shall reserve the right to designate on which <br />side(s) of a roadway sidewalk(s) shall be located. <br /> <br />B. Sidewalk Designations <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Residential Single Family Streets - A six (6) foot <br />wide concrete sidewalk shall be constructed along <br />any urban residential street that connects a <br />collector street with another collector street or <br />with a park. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Residential Medium and High Density Streets - A five <br />(5) foot wide concrete sidewalk shall be required <br />along all residential streets if the need is <br />determined by the City. <br /> <br />Residential Municipal State Aid Roads (MSA) - A six <br />(6) foot wide concrete sidewalk shall be constructed <br />on only one side of said road. <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />If a road is described by two or more different <br />categories, the most extensive sidewalk shall be <br />required. <br /> <br />The City reserves the right to require sidewalks on <br />roadways not stated in the aforementioned section. <br /> <br />3. LOCATION AND SIZE OF TRAILWAYS <br /> <br />A. Eight (8) foot bituminous trailways and/or turf trailways <br /> <br /> <br />
