CC Regular Session 4. 8. <br />Meeting Date: 08/27/2013 <br />By: Tim Gladhill, Community Development <br />Information <br />Title: <br />Consider Response to City of Anoka Comprehensive Plan Amendment for South Ferry Street Area <br />Background: <br />The City received notification from the City of Anoka regarding a Comprehensive Plan Amendment under <br />consideration in Anoka. Per Minnesota Statute 473, the Metropolitan Council requires that major Comprehensive <br />Plan Amendments be forwarded to adjacent communities and impacted agencies. <br />The Comprehensive Plan Amendment for Anoka addresses the land east of Ferry Street, west of the Rum River, <br />and south of Main Street. This area is approximately twenty-five (25) acres in size. The area is proposed to change <br />to Mixed Use from the existing designations of Mixed Use, Local Commercial, High Density Residential, General <br />Commercial, and Park and Recreation.
