CLASSIC. <br />August 12, 2013 <br />Comprehensive Plan Land Use Map Amendment ---South Ferry Street corridor <br />Location: East of Ferry Street, west of Rum River, south of Main Street, Anoka MN <br />The City of Anoka is processing a comprehensive plan land use map amendment for property <br />approximately 25 acres located generally east of Ferry Street (Highway 169), west of the Rum River and <br />south of Main Street. The subject area is currently classified with five different land use categories <br />including Mixed Use, Local Commercial, High Density Residential, General Commercial, and Park and <br />Recreation. The land use map amendment is proposed to change the land use to Mixed Use on the <br />2030 Comprehensive Plan Land Use Map. <br />The City is developing a zoning district for the entire South Ferry Street corridor from Main Street to <br />Peninsula Point Park that would establish four subareas: 1) North Mixed Use, 2) Open Space -Low <br />Density Residential, 3) Low Density Residential, 4) South Mixed Use.
