proposed location for the access between Lots 5 and 6 will not be able to see southbound <br />traffic on Nowthen Blvd.; it is ~ dangerous situation. <br /> <br />Chaim~an ZimmermaJ: stated that the Planning and Zoning Commission is reviewing access <br />onto Nowthen Blvd. based on thc recommendations of the Count)' Engineer. <br /> <br />Deanna Heaton - Noted that City Code does set minimum size standards for homes but i~ <br />has resulted in a minimum size home in the area sitting vacant; inquired if it is possible m <br />set ~ minimum dollar value for homes built in Oak Run to avoid another minimum size <br />vacant home. <br /> <br />Mr. Banwar~ replied that it is thc dcvelopzr's choice as to whether or not there is res~ctJve <br />coventmts on a plat. <br /> <br />Commissioner LaDue stated that as long as minimum codes are met, the City cannot <br />impose minimum dollar values on homes built. <br /> <br />Mr. Banwart noted that an}, prudent developer will realize that building minimum homes is <br />not the way to go. The market will dictate the price range and style of homes built. <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman noted that placing a minimum dollar value on homes excludes <br />certain people from the opportunity to purchase a home; the City and Metro Council feel <br />that this is not a proper way to do business. <br /> <br />/~r. Gerald Bauer - Stated that he will not sell the lots to minimum builders as it places a <br />negative impact on the remaining lots to be sold.
