Councilmember moved for its adoption: introduced the following resolution and RESOLUTION #89-06- RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE 1989 SEALCOATING IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS 89-5,6,7,8&9 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 1989 seal coating projects (Projects 89-5, 89-6, 89-7, 89-8 and 89-9) bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Bidder Amount of Bid Allied Blacktop, Co. $27,166.70 AND WHEREAS, it appears that Allied Blacktop Co. of Maple Grove, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE iT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator/Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Allied Blacktop Co. of Maple Grove, Minnesota in the name of the City of Ramsey of the 1989 sealcoating projects according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the Ramsey City Council and on file in the office of the City Administrator/Clerk. 2) The award of the project shall be contingent on Mn/DOT approval of the plans for 153rd Avenue between CSAH No. 5 and T.H. No. 47. 3) The City Administrator/Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolutions was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained:' and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 27th day of June, 1989.
