-Summary- The approximately 100 plus acres of land west of our neighborhood is starting to be developed Dellwood Hills Addition is the first propossed development . The Concerned Citizens of Golden Eagle Estates feel now is the time to plan for the increased traffic. The present street system that services the proposed and future developments consists of only one gravel road (Bison Street). The street system needs developing in order to handle the increased traffic. No roads presently exist to take the traffic south. In order to go south the present residents along Bison Streert drive north up to 171st Ave. N.W. and cut through our neighborhood. The roads of our neighborhood have right angled turns and winding streets, not appropriate for through traffic. If 171st Ave. N.W. was not available for the present and future residents along Bison Street, they would go another 1.5 blocks north to highway 63 and then south on Variolite Street. If that occured no traffic problems would exist and we would not be writing this letter. The Concerned Citizens of Golden Eagle Estates feel a number of solutions, together or in part, can correct the problem: 1. Pave Bison Street. 2. Place stop signs in the Golden Eagle Estates neighborhood. 3. Close 171st Ave. N. W. at Bison Street. 4. Put up "NO THRU TRAFFIC" or "EMERGENCY VEHICLE ONLY" signs at 171st Ave. N. W. and Bison Street. 5. Develop another road to take the traffic south. We, the Concerned Citzens of Golden Eagle Estates are greatly concerned over the adverse effects the increased traffic will have on the safety of our children. We feel the potential traffic problems must be addressed in order to sustain the quality of our residential living.
