Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #89.10- RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING POLICIES AND PROCEDURES FOR USE OF RAMSEY MUNICIPAL CENTER WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Ramsey City Council to clearly state the policy relating to the use of the Ramsey Municipal Center to serve as guidance to the City Staff and the general public; and WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the special fights and privileges of the Senior Citizen organization as a result of Federal funding for remodeling costs to the Ramsey Municipal Center. NOW TItEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the following policy shall govern the use of the Ramsey Municipal Center: Use and Priority of Use: The Ramsey Municipal Center houses the administrative, police, and fire functions of the City of Ramsey. Additionally, the Ramsey Municipal Center serves as official location for the various public meetings of the City Council and other governmental bodies. Within the Ramsey Municipal Center, the following rooms may be available for public use in accordance with this policy: Council Chambers East* Council Chambers West* Lower Level Southeast** Lower Level Southwest** 494 square feet; 33 persons 520 square feet; 35 persons 800 square feet; 53 persons 625 square feet; 42 persons *can be combined **can be combined The priority of use of these facilities is as follows: 1 ) Governmental functions: a) b) c) d) e) Offices and City Council Planning and Zoning Commission and Board of Adjustment All other Commissions Subcommittees of City, Council or Commissions Administrative 2) Organized groups: a) Senior citizen ~oups Note: The lower level south was partially funded with Federal funds for senior citizens. This specific area is available to senior citizen groups with minimal reservations described in this policy.
