Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #89.10- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING POLICIES AND PROCEDURES FOR USE OF <br />RAMSEY MUNICIPAL CENTER <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Ramsey City Council to clearly state the policy <br />relating to the use of the Ramsey Municipal Center to serve as guidance to the City Staff and the <br />general public; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the special fights and privileges of the <br />Senior Citizen organization as a result of Federal funding for remodeling costs to the Ramsey <br />Municipal Center. <br /> <br />NOW TItEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the following policy shall govern the use of the Ramsey Municipal <br /> <br />Center: <br /> <br />Use and Priority of Use: <br /> <br />The Ramsey Municipal Center houses the administrative, police, and fire functions of the City of <br />Ramsey. Additionally, the Ramsey Municipal Center serves as official location for the various <br />public meetings of the City Council and other governmental bodies. <br /> <br />Within the Ramsey Municipal Center, the following rooms may be available for public use in <br />accordance with this policy: <br /> <br />Council Chambers East* <br />Council Chambers West* <br />Lower Level Southeast** <br />Lower Level Southwest** <br /> <br />494 square feet; 33 persons <br />520 square feet; 35 persons <br />800 square feet; 53 persons <br />625 square feet; 42 persons <br /> <br /> *can be combined <br />**can be combined <br /> <br />The priority of use of these facilities is as follows: <br /> <br />1 ) Governmental functions: <br /> <br />a) <br />b) <br />c) <br />d) <br />e) <br /> <br />Offices and City Council <br />Planning and Zoning Commission and Board of Adjustment <br />All other Commissions <br />Subcommittees of City, Council or Commissions <br />Administrative <br /> <br />2) Organized groups: <br /> <br />a) <br /> <br />Senior citizen ~oups <br />Note: The lower level south was partially funded with Federal funds for <br /> senior citizens. This specific area is available to senior citizen <br /> groups with minimal reservations described in this policy. <br /> <br /> <br />
