RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PURCHASING AUTHORITY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Ordinance Number , Chapter 10.13 <br />PURCHASING POLICY requires a City Council resolution establishing the <br />dollar amounts and necessary approvals required for purchasing regulation <br />and control on behalf of the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF R3kMSEY, <br />ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Minor Purchase Orders may be used for purchases that total <br />less than Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00); Department Heads <br />are authorized to sign Minor Purc-~-~ders. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Either the Finance Officer or the City Administrator are authorized <br />to sign Standard Purchase Orders after first verifying that: <br /> <br />a. The purchase will not cause a budget line item to be <br /> exceeded. <br />b. Documentation of specific council approval, if required, <br /> is attached to the paperwork. <br /> <br />3) The City Administrator is authorized to sign Standard Purchase <br /> Orders for any item not included in the budget up to Five Hundred <br /> Dollars ($500.00) per purchase order provided a budget amendment is <br /> prepared for subsequent council approval. <br /> <br /> Specific Council approval shall be required for all capital outlay <br /> purchases which total Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or more. <br /> <br />5) Specific Council approval shall be required for all budget amendments. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded <br />by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, <br />the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the <br />Ramsey City Council this the day of , <br /> <br />ATTEST: Mayor <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />
