APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING THE <br />PRINTING JOB AND AUTHORIZING POSTAGE EXPENDITURE FOR THE <br />RAMSEY RESIDENT'S GUIDE <br /> By: Mark S. Banwart, Community Development Director <br /> <br />Back groun d/O bserva tions: <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council has expressed an interest in the development of a Ramsey Resident's <br />Guide and to this end, the City Staff has completed the compiling the information for this <br />publication. <br /> <br />On August 22, 1989, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #89-08-124 for Authorizing <br />Advertisement for Bids for the Ramsey Resident's Guide and setting the bid opening date for noon <br />on Thursday, September 14, 1989. The 1989 City Budget provides for Three Thousand Seven <br />Hundred Forty-five Dollars ($3,745.00) towards advertising and printing of Economic <br />Development related materials. The City received 14 bid responses for the printing of the Ramsey <br />Resident's Guide. These bid responses ranged from $1,705.16 to $7,412.14 for printing of 600~ <br />copies of the Ramsey Resident's Guide. The intent at this point in time is to mail approximately <br />3600 copies to residents in the City. In addition, the Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce has <br />indicated that they would like to have 500 copies in their coordinating effort to promote economic <br />development in the City of Ramsey. Since this publication will be used for at least two years, there <br />is a need for a print run of 6000 copies.
