Thc subdivider of Gordon's <br />Gardens 2nd Addition would n~sume financial responsibility for the negotiated purchase and .'~ls~ thc' rcsmr:mon of <br />thc cut-dc-sac prior to vacation to those bencfitung property owners resid/nl~ ouu~ide of thc prolx~scd sui~dn'ision. In <br />atkhti(m, Mr. Gordon stated that he was agreeable to providing easements for thc ctmtmucd c×tensmn of 180th <br />Avenue, Northwest LO thc South. <br /> <br />On .lunc 16, 1989, a letter was sent to Kenneth R. and M.K. Lewandowski, the affected properly owners for thc <br />possible negotiated land purchase. The City is awairing a meeting with the Lewandowski's. Thc have indicatexl that <br />they desire a set time for such a meeting, due to conflicts in their work schedule. <br /> <br />On July 1'7, 1989, a follow-up letter was sent to Kenneth R. and M.K. Lewandowski. in addition, several telephone <br />inquiries have been made. No response has been made. <br /> <br />On August 28, 1989, Harley Gordon applied for a full subdivision and provided a modified sketch plan which <br />included seven (7) lorn. <br /> <br />On September 5, 1989, the Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission approved thc sketch plan for Gordon's <br />Gardens 2nd Addition contingent upon the plat being mod/fled to remove the cul-de-sac and indicate a through street, <br />lot being reconfigured to meet the 200 foot frontage requirement and the City proceeding with condemnation action <br />to acquire property necessary to extend 180th Avenue N.W. to the. boundary of Gordon's Gardens 2nd Addition. <br /> <br />In mid-September, after consideration of development cost, Harley Gordon submitted a minor subdivision of <br />Gordon's Gardens 2nd Addition which n ow consists of three (3) lots. <br /> <br />On October 3, 1989, thc Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of Gordon's Gardens 2nd <br />Addition sketch plan and for the applicant to proceed to City Council for final plat approval. <br /> <br />On October 12, 1989, the Ramsey Park and Recreation Commission recommended to accept cash as satisfaction <br />the park dedication (the amount to be recalculated using two lots as the basis). <br /> <br />R ecom m enda ti on: <br /> <br />Staff recommends that cash in the amount of One Thousand One Hundred Twenty Dollars (S 1,120.00) (S16,000 x <br />.07) be used to satisfy the park dedication requirement. <br /> <br />Staff recommends final plat approval of Gordon's Gardens 2nd Addition. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to adopt/not adopt Resolution #89-10- to approve the final pla~ of Gordon's Gardens 2nd Addition. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />City Adminish-ator <br />City Attomey <br />City .Engineer <br />Community Development Director <br /> <br />Chief of Police <br />Fi, ~nance Officer <br />Planning & Zoning Commission <br />Park & Recreation Commission <br /> <br /> <br />
