On May 23, 1989, City Council directed City Staff to proceed with thc negotiated purchase, of necessary lands t0r thc extension of' 18(Ith Avenue Northwest and to proceed in the event of successful purchase, thc vacation of portions of thc cul-de-sac, which would become unnecessary in thc event of thc stree; extension. In atkhti(m, Mr. Gordon stated that he was agreeable to providing easements for thc ctmtmucd c×tensmn of 180th Avenue, Northwest LO thc South. On .lunc 16, 1989, a letter was sent to Kenneth R. and M.K. Lewandowski, the affected properly owners for thc possible negotiated land purchase. The City is awairing a meeting with the Lewandowski's. Thc have indicatexl that they desire a set time for such a meeting, due to conflicts in their work schedule. On July 1'7, 1989, a follow-up letter was sent to Kenneth R. and M.K. Lewandowski. in addition, several telephone inquiries have been made. No response has been made. On August 28, 1989, Harley Gordon applied for a full subdivision and provided a modified sketch plan which included seven (7) lorn. On September 5, 1989, the Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission approved thc sketch plan for Gordon's Gardens 2nd Addition contingent upon the plat being mod/fled to remove the cul-de-sac and indicate a through street, lot being reconfigured to meet the 200 foot frontage requirement and the City proceeding with condemnation action to acquire property necessary to extend 180th Avenue N.W. to the. boundary of Gordon's Gardens 2nd Addition. In mid-September, after consideration of development cost, Harley Gordon submitted a minor subdivision of Gordon's Gardens 2nd Addition which n ow consists of three (3) lots. On October 3, 1989, thc Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of Gordon's Gardens 2nd Addition sketch plan and for the applicant to proceed to City Council for final plat approval. On October 12, 1989, the Ramsey Park and Recreation Commission recommended to accept cash as satisfaction the park dedication (the amount to be recalculated using two lots as the basis). R ecom m enda ti on: Staff recommends that cash in the amount of One Thousand One Hundred Twenty Dollars (S 1,120.00) (S16,000 x .07) be used to satisfy the park dedication requirement. Staff recommends final plat approval of Gordon's Gardens 2nd Addition. Council Action: Motion to adopt/not adopt Resolution #89-10- to approve the final pla~ of Gordon's Gardens 2nd Addition.
