Councilmember moved for its adoption: introduced the following resolution and RESOLUTION #89-10- RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR OAKWOOD HILLS RESTORATION PROJECT. WHEREAS, pursuant to a request for bids for the Oakwood Hills Restoration Project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the proposal and contract documents: Bidder Amount of Bid W.B. Miller, Inc. Central Landscaping, Inc. $4,855.00 $5,125.00 AND WHEREAS, it appears that W.B. Miller of Ramsey, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator/Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with W.B. Miller, Inc. of Ramsey, Minnesota in the name of the City of Ramsey for Oakwood Hills Restoration Project according to the plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer and on file in the office of the City Administrator/Clerk. 2) The City Administrator/Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolutions was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey city Council this the 24th day of October, 1989.
