RUM ~IVER ~R~'DGg CONBTRUCT'rON
B~: Merlan~, Otto

Background=

Construction activity has begun on Co. 116 at the Rum River bridge
crossing. Jim Gromberg and I. attended the preconstruction
conference on November 3 at which time several concerns were
brought up regarding the impact of construction activity on River's
Bend Park and safety of park users. Both the County's project
engineer and I thought that it would be appropriate for the City
to express its concerns in writing. We, thus, have drafted a
letter for Council's consideration and the Mayor's signature
addressing the items of concern.

Recommendation:

Staff recommends adoption of resolution authorizing use of park
access road and authorizing letter to County expressing concerns.

council Action:

Motion to approve/not approve Resolution #89-11- authorizing
letter to Anoka County regarding Rum River Crossing construction
concerRs.

Review Checklist:

City Administrator X
City Attorney X
City Engineer X
Community Development Dir. X

Chief of Police X
Finance officer
Public Works Supt. X
Other
