Councilmember <br />moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 89-11- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING LETTER TO ANOKA COUNTY EXPRESSING CONCERNS <br />OF CITY REGARDING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY FOR 116 IN RIVER'S BEND <br />PARK. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Ramsey has supported <br />the development of recreation facilities and the Rum River bridge <br />crossing at River's Bend Park, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, facility improvements at the park were undertaken in <br />1988 and 1989, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council's intentis to enhance outdoor recreation <br />activities within the park, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council's intent is to continue its support for <br />the 116 Rum River bridge crossing, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, construction activity has recently been initiated for <br />the Rum River bridge crossing. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Mayor is hereby authorized to express the City's <br />limited concerns regarding the construction activity to Anoka <br />County. <br /> <br />2) That the primary concerns are related to park user safety, <br />park utilization and damage to park facilities during construction. <br /> <br />3) That the City authorizes limited use of the park road as a <br />construction haul route on the condition that it is restored to <br />existing or better condition and that activity does not interfere <br />with park users or nearby residents. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by <br />the Ramsey city Council this the 14th day of November, 1989. <br /> <br /> <br />
