Eighteen CORE (Cooperative Opportunities for Resource
Enhancement) proposals were submitted for consideration this fiscal
year in the seven county Metro Region. Of these, five fishing pier
projects received funding (two of the five were made possible by
a cost-sharing arrangement from the sponsoring organization).

Your CORE proposal will be carried forward for consideration next
year at your request. It will then be re-evaluated and placed on
a priority list according to our ranking system with all other
fishing pier projects.

Please respond to me in writing by January 1,1990 if you would like
to append, withdraw, or resubmit the proposal.

Should you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me
at any time.

Sincerely,

Gerald Johnson
Fisheries Specialist

GJ/rum

cc.
