Ceuncilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #89-03-47 RESOLUTION ORDERING APPLICATION FOR A COOPERATIVE OPPORTUNITIES FOR RESOURCE ENHANCEMENT (C.O.R.E.) PROGRAM FISHING PIER IN RIVER'S BEND PARK. WHEREAS, the City Council of the city bf Ramsey has supported the development of recreation facilities at River's Bend Park, and WHEREAS, facility improvements at the park were undertaken in 1988, and WHEREAS, the Council's intent is to enhance outdoor recreation activities within the park for disabled and physically limited individuals, and WHEREAS, the Council's intent is to ~llocate up to $136,000 in~1989, for further enhancement, of the park including landscaping and establishment of native prairie. NOW,:THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the city desires to enhance recreational fishing opportunities within the pa~k. 2) That Merland Otto of Hakanson Anderso~ Associates, Inc. shall prepare an application and submit to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources for a CORE grant for construction and installation of a fishing pier. 3) That the City will enter into necessary agreements with DNR for the routine maintenance, insurance and operation of the pier upon notification of approval from the DNR. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by. Councilmember Cich and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Reimann Councilmember Peterson Councilmember Cich Councilmember DeLuca Co~ncilmember Pehrson and the following voted against the same: None. and the following abstained: None. and the following were absent: None. whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 14th day of March, 1989.
