Its main <br />purpose to to idemtify and stud), issues facing the disabled, such as architectural and <br />attitudinal bsrriers. It advocates so~ml and envirom~m~tal changes and tries to obrm~n <br />ccnmm~ty support for imploxmnting these changes. <br /> <br />-NSCAH members - bt the request of the City of Ramsey - were <br />involved with the design of the River Bend Park located in <br />Ramsey. A section of the park is designed especially to <br />accommodate the elderly and persons with disabilities. <br /> <br />It is our understanding that Ramsey is applying for funding <br />through the Cooperative Opportunties for Resource Enchancement <br />C.O.R.E. Program to build a fishing pier in the park <br />accessible to the elderly and ~isabled persons. <br /> <br />On behalf of. NSCAH we wholeheartly give our support for this <br />project.
