Kim M. Flesner
15330 Iguana Street N.W.
Ramsey, MN 55303
612/427-2296

March 13, 1989

Merland Otto
HAKANSON ANDERSON ASSOCIATES, INC.
222 Monroe Street.
Anoka, MN 55303

Dear Merland,

I am writing this'letter in support of the Rivers Bend Park
project taken on by the City of Ramsey, specifically at this
time supporting that part of the project involving, the fishing
pier, to which the DNR will be applied to for funding help
through the Cooperative Opportunities for Resource Enhancement
(C.O.R.E.) program.

As a resident of Ramsey who greatly enjoys the outdoors,
this'park will provide for many hours of peaceful ~njoyment.
Because of its close proximity, I look forward to spending
much time there with my husband and with my four children,
especially during the summer months.

The thing that makes this park so special for my family is
the fact that it will be accessible for my four year old
son, who because of his disability, is a wheelchair user.
My husband Luke and i work very hard at finding recreational
and leisure activities that will allow our son to ful. ly
participate in family activities.

In closing, again~I fully support this whole project; it is
exciting to see our city leaders responding to the needs of
its residents who have disabilities, and working to provide-
those same kinds of opportunities that are so readily avail-
able to its residents without disabilities. If I can be of
any further assistance in this project, please don't hesitate
calling upon me.

Sincerely,

Kim M. Flesner
