RESOLUTION #89- RESOLUTION ENDING THE PROBATION PERIOD FOR KAY MCALONEY WHEREAS, Kay McAIoney. began employment at the City of Ramsey on May 30, 1989, as Personnel Coordinator, in salary grade 3, with an annual salary at $18,500; and WHEREAS, Ms. McAIoney is not a member of any bargaining unit, but as stated in the Ramsey City Code every original appointment is subject to a probalionary period of six months (1,040 hours) after appointment, and the six month probationary period for Ms. McAIoney expires on December 4, 1989, and WHEREAS, Ms. McAIoney was reviewed satisfactorily from her immediate supervisor Sandra Ashley, Finance Officer on November 8, 1989, and WHEREAS, Ms. Ashley recommends that Ms. McAIoney's probationary status be ended upon the completion of the six months (1,040 hours) and that she be retained as a regular full- time employee of the City of Ramsey, and WHEREAS, Ms. Ashley further recommends an increase of $2,600 to a new salary base rate of $21,100 effective the day following completion of 1,040 hours in position, which in this case is December 5, 1989, and WHEREAS, David Hartley, City Administrator, agrees With the recommer~sations of MS. Ashley, and WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee on December 4, 1989 accepted the recommendations of Ms. Ashley and Mr. Hartley to end the probationary status of Ms. McAIoney. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CiTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) The City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendations of the Personnel Committee to end the probationary period for Kay McAIoney, and instruct Kay McAIoney, Personnel Coordinator, to prepare the necessary paperwork for change in status to full-time regular effective December 5, 1989 and change salary to $21,100 annually.
