Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #89-12- RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF TURNOUT GEAR FROM CLAREY'S EQUIPMENT, INC. WHEREAS, a proposal has been received for turnout gear from Clarey's Safety Equipment, Inc. in the following amounts: Coats and Bunker Pants Boots Helmets Hoods Spanner Belts 3 @ $620.85 $1,862.55 3@ $ 67.25 $ 201.75 3@ $ 73.50 $ 220.50 3 @ $ 19.50 $ 58.50 3 @ $ 32.00 $ 96.00 $2,439.30 AND WHEREAS, no additional proposals have been received or solicited since the objective of the Fire Department is to operate with compatible equipment in the event replacement or spare pans are needed; and WHEREAS, the Fire Board met on December 6, 1989 and recommends that the City Council authorize the purchase of the above listed turnout gear from Clarey's Safety Equipment, Inc. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, COUNTY OF ANOKA, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council authorize the City Administrator and Fire Chief to purchase the above listed turnout gear from Clarey's Safety Equipment, Inc. in an amount of $2,439.30. 2) That the above listed turnout gear purchase be initiated with a Ramsey Purchase Order and charged to the 1989 Budget Account 101-2220-43216. 3) That the 1989 Budget is amended as follows: i01-2220-43216 is increased by $2,440.00 101 - other financing sources and uses is increased by $2,440.00. 4) That a transfer of $2,440.00 from the Landfill Trust Fund to the General Fund is hereby authorized. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Peterson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent:
