P&Z should ~ l~k~g at the entire <br /> ordinance as it relates to the entire pro~y. <br /> ~ssioner ~en - t~ lots <br /> ~ai~n Pearson - agreed with Co=issioner Schneider's e~!ier co~nts <br /> regarding ~is issue. <br /> <br />%"ne majority consensus of the Planning and Zoning Commission is that two lots <br />would be appropriate at the time t-he property is platted. <br /> <br />Cc~.~.issioner Deenner inquired if the wording on Page 2 of the ordinance should <br />be clean cut~ing or clear cutting. <br /> <br />FJ. BergJ'replied that it was a t}qDographica! error and it should be clear <br />cutting and also noted that a variance procedure will be added to the ordinance. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Z{m~erman and seconded by Commissioner Deemer to <br />table recommending approval of this ordinance until the ne~ regular meeting <br />of P&Z for the purpose of fu_~er review. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case ~4: Amendin~ Of Cha.Dter 110.14 h'ntitled "Weeds" Of the City Code: <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson stated that Council has requested PaZ to review and ma3~e <br />recommendations regarding Chapter 110.14 entitled "Weeds". Chairman Peterson <br />stated that one section of the chapter, 110.143 - Growing Grass, is causing <br />problem~. If a citizen does not comply %'ith this code, notices are sent to <br />t_hat citizen that he is in violation of having ?tess taller than 12" and that <br />he has 10 days to correct'the situation. If the citizen takes no action, the <br />City dan contract a weed cu~ter to cut it and the cost would be .assessed to <br />the property owner. <br /> <br />P*'.*-s. Steiner - 6121 158th Lane - O~ a vacant lot adjacent to our home on <br />which there are trees, sumac and wildflowers and have been re.cuested by <br />neighbors not to clear this lot because it is a beautiful piece of untouched <br />nature and a relief from the monotony of =~nicured <br /> <br />Ter_~.· Pet~_ro - 6140 157th - Stated ~hat he received a letter from tlne City <br />t2nat he is in violation a~nd to clear cut the pro.~erty. ~.~ve su_--veyed homes <br />cf Council persons and they are ali ~_n violation and have su_-veyed a couple <br />of home o.f P&Z commission members and ~hey too are in violation. Stated that <br />he has planted 1500-2000 seed_lings on his property' and it would ~e difficult <br />to cut .the tall grass, etc. without killing all the seedlings. Y=r.
