5) Sanitary Sewer Dump Station <br />Staff informed the Public Works Committee that they were looking into the possibility of <br />opening a sanitary sewer dump station in the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Public Works Committee was to direct staff to continue researching the <br />possibility of a sanitary sewer dump station <br /> <br />6) Update on Aerial Topography <br />Staff provided an update on the aerial topography that staff has been working on. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman, seconded by Councilmember Kurak, to ratify the <br />recommendations of the Public Works Committee. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Zimmerman, Kurak, Cook, <br />Elvig, Pearson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #10: Report from Finance Committee <br /> <br />The Finance Committee met on October 28, 2003, to discuss the following cases: <br /> <br />1) Authorize Remaining 2003 Parks Capital Improvements <br />The Finance Committee recommended that the City Council authorize staff to prepare plans and <br />specifications for shelters and irrigation at Flintwood Terrace Park and approve $22,256 from <br />Trail fees for the construction of a bituminous trail from 164th Lane to the Lake Itasca <br />Boardwalk. <br /> <br />The Committee also discussed the need for a-comprehensive plan for trail maintenance, which <br />staff informed the Committee they were already working on. They also discussed that in the <br />future there will probably be a need to purchase equipment for snow removal along the trails. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Cook, to ratify the <br />recommendation of the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Elvig, Cook, Kurak, Pearson, <br />Strommen, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #11: Report from Personnel Committee <br /> <br />The Personnel Committee met on October 28, 2003 to discuss the following cases: <br /> <br />1) Authorization to Hire Permit Technician <br />The Personnel Committee recommended that the City Council adopt the Resolution #03-10- <br />291 authorizing the hiring of Catherine Okerstrom for the Permit Technician position at $38,272 <br />annually ($18.40/hour) plus benefits, contingent upon successful completion of criminal <br />background and reference checks and passing an employment physical and drug screen. <br /> <br />City Council/October 28, 2003 <br /> Page 15 of 17 <br /> <br />P33 <br /> <br /> <br />
