Support co-workers and let them know that their effort is appreciated by recognizing the <br />accomplishments of staff and extending compliments when appropriate. Also continue to <br />monitor the work place for safety, comfort, and efficiency. <br /> Remodeling and making additional space available for many of the people who work for <br /> the City of Ramsey has improved the work environment. This remodeling has also been <br /> accomplished at a minimal cost. Recognition of accomplishments of individuals <br /> continues to improve and 1 think that if asked (and I have asked) most of the staff would <br /> say that their hard work and extra effort is appreciated by myself and coworkers. <br /> <br />Encourage favorable Council/Staff relations by conducting an annual team building <br />workshop with Council and staff. <br /> This was done in 1989 but no plans have yet been made for I990. i would like to suggest that <br /> the Council and department heads again revisit the direction that Ramsey will take in the <br /> short and long term. <br /> <br />Project Follow-up and Sehedulin~ <br />· The position of Project Manager has been added to provide better project follow-up and <br /> scheduling. The goal of the City Administrator shall be to provide the proper leadership for the <br /> person filling this position and to assure the success of this effort. <br /> The Project Manager position has been placed under the community development director <br /> who has given good direction and created a system by which projects will be monitored. <br /> The effort has not been isolated to just the Project Manager; all departments have been <br /> asked to contribute to the coordination of projects by supplying information on a timely <br /> basis. <br /> <br /> <br />
