Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #90-01-. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ENDING THE PROBATIONARY PERIOD FOR JO ANN <br />TItlELING <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Jo Ann Thieling began employment at the CiLv of Ramsey on June 26, 1989 <br />as Secretary for Administrative Services, in salary grade I, with an annual salary of $12,562; and <br /> <br /> WltEREAS, as stated in the AFSCME contract of which Ms. Thieling is a member, the <br />probationary period for new employees is six-months (upon completion of 1,040 hours), and the <br />six-month probationary period for Jo Ann Thieling expires on December 29, 1989; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Penny curtis, Administrative Coordinator and Ms. Thieling's immediate <br />supervisor, has given a satisfactory employee performance appraisal for Ms. Thieling and <br />recommends retaining Ms. Thieling at the City of Ramsey as a regular full-time employee; and <br /> <br /> WltEREAS, the probationary period has been successfully completed and Ms. Curtis <br />recommends that Jo Ann Thieling's salary be adjusted to the annual rate of $14,133 as per the six- <br />month rate of sflary grade 1 of the AFSCME contract; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Administrator David Hartley is in agreement with the recommendations <br />of Penny Curtis; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is stated in the AFSCME contract that increases will take place at the <br />completion of 1040 hours, which in this case is effective January 1, 1990. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> I) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendations of <br />Administrative Coordinator Penny Curtis and City Administrator David Hartley to end the <br />probationary period for Jo Ann Thieling, and instructs Kay McAloney, Personnel Coordinator, to <br />prepare the necessary paperwork for change in status to full-time regular employee effective <br />January 1, 1990 and change in salary to $14,133 annually. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> and upon vote being taken thereof, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey Ci~' Council this <br />the 9th day of January, 1990. <br /> <br /> <br />
