Bruce Bacon and Michael Max will work on development of the tree lists with the assistance of <br />City Staff person Chris Anderson. In addition to unacceptable, acceptable and preferred species, <br />the list should also include species that are non-native to Ramsey but have proven to do well in <br />Ramsey soils and climate. <br /> <br />ASSIGNMENT FOR NEXT MEETING <br /> <br />Consensus was that at the next regular meeting on December 2, 2002, the Task Force will work <br />on the draft tree ordinance, specifically the "Tree Planting, Maintenance and Removal" and the <br />"Enforcement" sections. <br /> <br />ACTION ITEMS RESULTING FROM MEETING <br /> <br />· Sylvia Frolik to let Mr. Max know which meeting minutes should be on the December 2 <br /> agenda for approval. <br />· Sylvia Frolik to invite Mr. Boos to a future meeting of the Task Force to talk above grant <br /> funds for tree inventories. <br />· Coordinate a tour of the park and trail system with Mark Boos. <br /> Mr. Max to contact Kunde Company for professional contacts that could assist the City in <br /> developing canopy cover guidelines. <br />· Bruce Bacon and Michael Max and Chris Anderson to work on developing the tree lists of <br /> acceptable, preferred and undesirable species; the list should also include non-native species <br /> that do well in Ramsey soils. <br />· Committee members be prepared to work on "Tree Planing, Maintenance and Removal" and <br /> "Enforcement" sections of the draft tree ordinance on December 2. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Sarah Strommen and seconded by Michael Reeve to adjourn the regular meeting of <br />the Environmental Policy Task Force. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
