Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Mr. McDilda, Committee Members Sitz, Dvorak,
Reeve, and Strommen. Voting No: None. Absent: Committee Members Connolly, Marshall,
and Max..Abstain: Committee Member Cook.

TREE INSPECTOR WORKSHOP

Chairperson McDilda reminded the members that they should contact Mr. Max if they want to
make arrangements to attend the Tree Inspector Workshop in Eagan on August 20.

DISCUSS AUGUST 29 MEETING CONFLICT

Ms. Frolik stated that there has been a great deal of difficulty in rescheduling the August 1
Planning Commission meeting because of quorum issues. The meeting has been set for August
29, the next meeting date of the Task Force. She and Mr. Reeve will be at the Planning
Commission meeting and will not be able to attend the Task Force meeting.

Ms. Sitz and Ms. Dvorak stated that they also will not be able to attend the August 29 meeting.

The consensus of the members was to retain the next meeting date of August 29 and one of the
members will have to take minutes.

DISCUSS MSN COMMUNITY

Mr. McDilda stated that the Committee members should continue to work with the MSN
program and anyone having difficulties should contact Mr. McDilda for assistance.

REVIEW TIMETABLE

Mr. McDilda stated that due to time constraints, he does not have a revised timetable for review.

REVIEW MISSION AND OBJECTIVES

Mr. McDilda stated that this case should be a review of objectives only; the mission statement
was adopted at the last meeting.

Mr. McDilda distributed copies of his draft EPTF Website page, which includes the objectives
drafted by Ms. Dvorak. Mr. McDilda stated that he has heard some concerns that the published
objectives may limit the scope of the Task Force.

Mr. Cook suggested that Item #6 of the objectives should be added as follows: "Address other
environmental issues as apparent and assigned."

Consensus was to amend Item #5 of the draft objectives to read as follows: "Assist in reviewing
the City's environmental policy for effectiveness and implementing changes as necessary."

Motion by Committee Member Strommen and seconded by Committee Member Sitz to adopt the
6 objectives as drafted and discussed.
