Street Trees Findings: Consensus was that none of the options in the software draft are <br />acceptable; the Committee will draft its own language, perhaps with the aid of existing language <br />from other communities that have rural and urban aspects. <br /> <br />Landscaping Findings: That the adoption of certain landscape design, planting and <br />maintenance standards will assure the long-term viability of the community forests within and <br />beyond the borders of the City. <br /> <br />Ms. Sitz requested that Mr. McDilda utilize noteworthy text from the document generated by the <br />U.S. Conference of Mayors in Ramsey's tree ordinance. <br /> <br />ACTION ITEMS <br /> <br />· Mr. McDilda to generate a new timetable based on the conflict with the September 2 and <br /> September 10 dates identified during Approval of Agenda. <br /> <br />· Ms. Frolik to provide the Committee with copies of Tree Conservation Ordinance Planning <br /> Advisory Service Report #446, published by the American Planning Association. <br /> <br />· Ms. Sitz to draft a Resources List and forward copies to all members. <br /> <br />· Ms. Frolik to provide the Committee with copies of the current landscaping requirements for <br /> residential developments. <br /> <br />Mr. Max to place Task Force Scope and Resources List as the first items of business on the <br />July 18 agenda. Continued review of draft ordinance will begin with Item #16 (Tree <br />Preservation Findings). <br /> <br />Mr. McDilda to schedule a meeting with City Administrator Jim Norman and Principal <br />Planner Pat Trudgeon to discuss parallel initiatives of the Council and Task Force and the <br />pending density transition ordinance. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. Cook and seconded by Mr. Max to adjourn the meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mr. McDilda, Committee Members Max, Dvorak, Connolly, Sitz <br />and Cook. Voting No: None.
