ABOLISHMENT OF AIRPORT COMMISSION <br /> <br />Case <br /> <br />By: William K. Goodrich, City Attorney <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br /> <br />By Ordinance #83-10 adopted on September 27, 1983, the Council <br />established an Airport Commission for the City. The stated purpose <br />of the Airport Commission was ". . . to study the feasibility of <br />the presently privately owned Gateway North Airport becoming a City <br />owned municipal airport." At your meeting on January 23, 1990, you <br />instructed one to present an ordinance abolishing the Airport <br />Commission. Enclosed are copies of Ordinance #83-10 and the <br />proposed new Ordinance abolishing the Airport Commission. The <br />proposed Ordinance may be adopted by a simple majority vote of the <br />Council.
