Ashley, Finance Officer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />On January 25, 1990 Cynthia Roselle, Park and Recreation Commissioner, and four n~embers of <br />the Planning and Zoning Commission attended a ParliamentaD, Procedures Seminar. The cost of <br />this seminar was Thirty Dollars ($30.00) per attendee, and while the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission training budget for 1990 contained sufficient funding, the Park and Recreation <br />training budget did not. The 1990 Parks and Recreation Budget for Refunds and Reimbursements <br />could be decreased by Thirty Dollars ($30.00) to provide funding for this training expenditure. <br /> <br />On February 2, 1990, the City Administrator, David Hartley, approved check requests chargeable <br />to the park and Recreation sub-function as follows: <br /> <br />Mark Boos and Grant Riemer to attend <br />Shade Tree Seminar @ $20.00 each <br /> <br />$40.00 <br /> <br />Non-commercial pesticide applicator <br />license/certification for Mark Boos <br /> <br />$15.00 <br /> <br />TOTAL $55.00 <br /> <br />All 1990 training costs for Public Works employees have been budgeted under the Public Works <br />sub-function, and Merle Mevissen, Public Works Supervisor, has requested a budget amendment <br />to decrease Public Works (#3311) training and increase Park and Recreation (#4520) training in the <br />amount of Fifty-five dollars ($55.00) to provide funding for these training expenditures. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />The above expenditures were approved by the City Administrator as provided in the City's <br />Resolution #89-I2-331: Resolution Establishing Purchasing Authority, and consistent with the <br />resolution, is providing a budget amendment for the next regularly scheduled Council Meeting - <br />which is this evening. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends budget amendment approval of the above two items. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to adopt/not adopt Resolution 4~90-02- for 1990 Budget Amendment Number 1. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />City Administrator .
