ORDINANCE #90- <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 170.03, WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE SUBDIVISION <br />CHAFFER OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1'/0.32 "INTERPRETATION AND SCOPE" AND <br />170.038C STREETS OF CHAPTER 170.03 OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, <br />M I NNES OTA. <br /> <br />THE CI']W COUNCIL OF THE CI"D' OF RAMSEY ORDAINS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. AMENDMENT <br /> <br />Section 170.32 INTERPRETATION AND SCOPE: 21. STREETS shall be amended to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Sweet is a public right-of-way affording primau access by pedestrians and vehicles <br />abutting properties, whether designated as a street, highway, thoroughfare, <br />parkway, road, avenue or however otherwise designated. <br /> <br />Collector street is a street which carries traffic from minor streets to arterials. It <br />includes the principal entrance streets of a residential development and streets for <br />circulation within such a development. <br /> <br />c. Cul-de-sac is a street with only one outlet and having an appropriate terminal for the <br /> safe and convenient reversal of traffic movement. <br /> <br />d. Minor sweet is a street used primarily for access to the abutting properties and the <br /> local needs of a neighborhood. <br /> <br />e. "Sewice street", "lane" or "road" is a street which is adjacent to a thoroughfare and <br /> which provides access to abutting properties and protection from through h'xffic. <br /> <br />Sweet width is the shortest distance between the lot lines delineating the right-of- <br />way of a street. <br /> <br />Minor arterial is a street primm-ily designated to cart), large volumes of traffic and <br />se,wes as an inn'a-thoroughfare between various disMcts of the City. <br /> <br />h. Major arterial is a thoroughfare (inter-community travel) which is a m~or vehicle <br /> n'ansportation co~dor throughout the region. <br /> <br />i. Urban s.treets are those streets located within the 2000 URBAN AREA and the <br /> URBAN RESERVE AREA. <br /> <br />j. RuraJ sweets are those streets io:.ated outside the 2000 URBAN AREA or the <br /> URBAN RESERVE AP.EA. <br /> <br /> <br />
