Councilmember <br /> <br />RESOLUTION IN <br />I'ROGRAM <br /> <br />WttEREAS, <br /> <br /> introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION #90-01- <br /> <br />SUPPORT OF "2 + 2" HIGHER EDUCATION PILOT <br /> <br />higher education is a key element for continued quality growth :md <br /> <br />development in the State of Minnesota; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the concept of pairing community colleges with state colleges and <br />universities in an effort to enhance and expand the educational opportunities of many of our <br />citizens is a worthwhile and meritorious objective; and <br /> <br /> WItEREAS, the State of Minnesota is known for its willingness to continually make <br />creative and innovative improvements in its educational systems. <br /> <br />NOW TItEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIlE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1) That the City of Ramsey supports and encourages the Anoka-Ramsey Advisory <br /> Council to seek legislative passage for the "2 + 2 higher educational program" <br /> which pairs Anoka-Ramsey Community college with St. Cloud University on a two- <br /> year pilot project basis. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the 23rd day of January, 1990. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />
