CONTRACT FOR FIRE PROTECTION AND EMERGENCY SERVICES <br /> <br /> YEAR 1990 <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into by and between the Anoka-Champlin Joint <br />Powers Fire Board, the party of the first part, hereinafter referred to as the "Joint Fire Board" the <br />governing body of a fire department jointly owned and operated by the City of Anoka,a Municipal <br />Corporation, of the County of Anoka and State of Minnesota, and the City of Champlin, a <br />Municipal Corporation, of the County of Hennepin and the State of Minnesota; and the CITY OF <br />RAMSEY in the County of Anoka, State of Minnesota, pa_ny of the second part. <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />That in consideration of the sum of Sixty-one Thousand Four Hundred Fifty-six and 24/100 <br />Dollars per year, payable in advance by second party to said Joint Fire Board, said Joint Fire <br />Board agrees to furnish fire protection, fire suppression, emergency rescue, extrication and those <br />other services normally and customarily performed by a fh'e department to the property located in, <br />or emergency incidents within the boundaries of said City of Ramsey for the compensation and on <br />the conditions hereinafter set forth, and the said Joint Fire Board further agrees that when called to <br />property or incidents within the boundaries of the City of Ramsey, its f'u'efighters will make a <br />reasonable effort to respond to fires or perform other requested emergency services, PROVIDED <br />HOWEVER: <br /> <br />That the road and weather conditions be such that the emergency response can be made <br />with reasonable safety to personnel and equipment, and the decision of the Anoka- <br />Champlin Fire Chief or senior fire department officer in charge shall be final in such a <br />matter. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />That in the event all fire department equipment and personnel are engaged in another <br />emergency situation at the time a call comes in from said second party, the Anoka- <br /> <br />tilt> <br /> <br /> <br />
