CASE <br /> <br />1990 FIRE PROTECTION CONTRACT WITH THE CITY OF ANOKA <br /> By:~ David R. Hartley, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />In years past, the City of Ramsey has contracted with the City of Anoka for fire protection. The <br />contracts with Anoka called for a two year written notice before cancellation and on November 23, <br />1988 notice was given that it is the intention of the City of Ramsey to discontinue the fire <br />protection in 1990. The contract now being considered will extend that 'coverage to December 31, <br />1990 conditions. <br /> <br />Recommendations: <br /> <br />It is the recommendation of Bruce E. Hoeke, Fire Chief and David R. Hartley, City Administrator <br />to have the Ramsey City Council enter into this agreement with the Anoka-Champlin Joint Fire <br />Department for the calendar year of 1990. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to authorize the Mayor and City Administrator to, on behalf of the City of Ramsey, enter <br />into a contract for fire protection and emergency services for the calendar year of 1990 with Anoka- <br />Champlin Joint Fire Deparunent. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br />City Attorney <br />City Engineer <br />Community Development Director <br /> <br />.X <br /> <br />Chief of Police <br />Fh'e Chief <br />Planning & Zoning Comm. <br />Park & Recreation Comm. <br /> <br /> <br />
