Councilmember inu'oduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ~90-02-__ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ENDING THE PROBATIONARY PERIOD FOR DAN BRAY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Dan Bray began employment at the City of Ramsey on August 21, 1989, <br />as Building Maintenance Worker for Administrative Services, in salary grade 1, with an annual <br />salary of $12,562; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, as stated in the AFSCME contract, of which Mr. Bra3, is a member, the <br />probationary period for new employees is six-months (upon completion of 1,040 hours), and the <br />six-month probationary period for Dan Bray expires on February 26, 1990; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Sandra Ashley, Finance Officer, and Mr. Bray's immediate supervisor, has <br />given a satisfactory employee performance appraisal and recommends retaining Mr. Bray at the <br />City of Ramsey as a regular full-time employee; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the probationary period has been successfully completed and Miss Ashley <br />recommends that Dan Bray's salaD, be adjusted to the annual rate of $14,557 per the six-month <br />rate of salary grade 1 of the AFSCME contract; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Administrator, David Hartley is in agreement with the <br />recommendations of Sandra Ashley; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, as stated in the AFSCME contract, increases will take place at the <br />completion of 1040 hours, which in this case is effective February 27, 1990. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of Finance <br />Officer, Sandra Ashley and City Administrator, David Hartley, to end the probationary <br />period for Dan Bray, and instruct Kay McAloney, Personnel Coordinator, to prepare the <br />necessary paperwork for change in status to full-time regular employee effective February <br />27, 1990 and change salary to $14,557 annually. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the 13th of March, 1990. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />
