The City shall contact each resident listed as a brush chipping site to arrange the time period in which to perform the service and the use of the resulting chips. SECTION 4 CONTRACTORS OPERATIONS The contractor shall provide a "disc" type chipper capable of producing chips of sufficient quality to be used for park trails and tree mulching purposes. The chips produced at each homeowner's site shall remain the property of the homeowner and shall be left on the premises unless the homeowner indicates otherwise. In the event the homeowner does not want the chips, the contractor shall haul the chips to city designated sites unless the City's representative directs the contractor otherwise. The contractor shall take all necessary precautions so as to insure the safety of the public. The contractor shall at all times perform his work so as to insure the least possible obstruction to traffic or inconvenience to the general public and the residents of the vicinity of the work. and to insure the protection of persons and property in a manner satisfactory to the project coordinator. The contractor shall perform the wood chipping services at the addresses listed on attachment A. The service shall be provided between the dates_of __and .Hours of operation shall be Monday through Saturday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The contractor shall clear away all debris resulting from his work and or operation other than as provided in 1.05(A) leaving the site in a clean condition. The contractor shall be expected to perform the service at least two (2) and up to six (6) days a week under special circumstances( storm damage, fire hazard, disease control, etc.) SECTION 5 COORDINATION The Contractor shall coordinate his efforts under this contract with the City. The City's designated field representative for this program is James Gromberg, Project Manager. SECTION 6 INSURANCE Prior to the commencement of this Agreement, the Contractor shall furnish the City certificates or copies of the following policies of insurance, approved by the City Administrator, showing that such insurance is in force. All endorsements shall apply to both bodily injury or death and property damage coverage. Comprehensive general public liability insurance insuring against liability for bodily injury or death, in the sum of $ 500,000 for any one person and in the sum of $1,000,000 for two or more persons in the same occurrence, and for damages to property in the sum of $ 500,000. Bo Workers' compensation insurance and employers' liability insurance as required by law.
