The City shall contact each resident listed as a brush chipping site to arrange the time <br />period in which to perform the service and the use of the resulting chips. <br /> <br />SECTION 4 <br /> <br />CONTRACTORS OPERATIONS <br /> <br />The contractor shall provide a "disc" type chipper capable of producing chips of <br />sufficient quality to be used for park trails and tree mulching purposes. The <br />chips produced at each homeowner's site shall remain the property of the <br />homeowner and shall be left on the premises unless the homeowner indicates <br />otherwise. In the event the homeowner does not want the chips, the contractor <br />shall haul the chips to city designated sites unless the City's representative <br />directs the contractor otherwise. <br /> <br />The contractor shall take all necessary precautions so as to insure the safety of <br />the public. The contractor shall at all times perform his work so as to insure the <br />least possible obstruction to traffic or inconvenience to the general public and <br />the residents of the vicinity of the work. and to insure the protection of persons <br />and property in a manner satisfactory to the project coordinator. <br /> <br />The contractor shall perform the wood chipping services at the addresses listed <br />on attachment A. The service shall be provided between the dates_of <br />__and .Hours of operation shall be Monday through <br />Saturday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. <br /> <br />The contractor shall clear away all debris resulting from his work and or <br />operation other than as provided in 1.05(A) leaving the site in a clean condition. <br /> <br />The contractor shall be expected to perform the service at least two (2) and up to <br />six (6) days a week under special circumstances( storm damage, fire hazard, <br />disease control, etc.) <br /> <br />SECTION 5 <br /> <br />COORDINATION <br /> <br />The Contractor shall coordinate his efforts under this contract with the City. The City's <br />designated field representative for this program is James Gromberg, Project Manager. <br /> <br />SECTION 6 <br /> <br />INSURANCE <br /> <br />Prior to the commencement of this Agreement, the Contractor shall furnish the City <br />certificates or copies of the following policies of insurance, approved by the City <br />Administrator, showing that such insurance is in force. All endorsements shall apply to <br />both bodily injury or death and property damage coverage. <br /> <br />Comprehensive general public liability insurance insuring against liability for <br />bodily injury or death, in the sum of $ 500,000 for any one person and in the <br />sum of $1,000,000 for two or more persons in the same occurrence, and for <br />damages to property in the sum of $ 500,000. <br /> <br />Bo <br /> <br />Workers' compensation insurance and employers' liability insurance as required <br />by law. <br /> <br /> <br />
