Councilmember moved for its adoption: introduced the following resolution and RESOLUTION #90-04- RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF PERIMETER TIMBERS FOR PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT AREAS AT CITY PARKS. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Ramsey adopted Resolutions #89-06-134, 89-06-135 and 89-06-136 authorizing purchase of perimeter timbers for play areas at Titterud, River's Bend and Autumn Heights Parks, and WHEREAS, equipment was installed at Autumn Heights Park in 1989 and will be installed at the other parks in 1990, and WHEREAS, the previous resolutions authorized an amount up to $13,615 plus overhead for purchase of play apparatus and $9,718 was expended but no timbers were purchased, and WHEREAS, the estimated ancillary material (spikes, (approximately 225 timbers). cost of purchasing timbers and rods) is estimated at $3,000 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That City staff is directed to purchase said material in accordance with City purchase procedures the total not to exceed $3,000 (three thousand and no/100 dollars). 2) That City personnel install the timbers and resilient surfacing at the parks. 3) That the project be funded from the City's General Fund, Park Capital Outlay Fund, 1989 budget as revised by the City Finance Director. 4) That a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the City Finance Director. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey city Council this the 10th day of April, 1990.
