CASE <br /> <br />NORTH ANOKA COUNTY ARENA COMMITTEE REQUEST <br /> By: David R. Hartley, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The North Anoka County Arena Committee is a non-profit organization which is attempting to <br />establish a multipurpose recreational facility at 205th Avenue N. and Highway #65. This <br />organization is also asking for funding from the County of Anoka and as a condition to receiving <br />such financing, the Anoka County Board has asked that the North Anoka County Arena Committee <br />solicit waivers from each of the surrounding communities indicating that they will not seek <br />financial participation by the County in the construction of any other ice arena in the County.
