Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #90-04- RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING NANCY BLANCHETTE FOR THE DATA ENTRY POSITION WHEREAS, the Finance Office has a vacancy for the position of Data Entry Clerk in a salary grade 1; and WHEREAS, the position was posted from March 15 to March 23, 1990 with twenty- eight applications for employment being received. Eight applicants were interviewed by telephone and in-person by the Personnel Coordinator. All eight applicants were given a typing test to assess accuracy and interviews to assess the problem solving and communication skills each possess; and WHEREAS, four applicants were presented to Finance Officer Sandra Ashley, immediate supervisor of the Data Entry Clerk position; and WHEREAS, one of the finalists, Nancy Blanchette, has been employed on a temporary, part-time basis in the Finance Office since October 10, 1989; and WHEREAS, Finance Officer Sandra Ashley and City Administrator David Hartley recommended to the Personnel Committee at the April 11, 1990 meeting the position of the Data Entry Clerk be offered to Nancy Blanchette based on extensive data entry experience, and excellent work quality and quantity; and WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee at their meeting of April 11, 1990 interviewed the finalist for the Data Entry Clerk position, Nancy Blanchette and recommended that City Council offer the position of Data Entry Clerk to Nancy Blanchette; and WHEREAS, Finance Officer Sandra Ashley has requested that the starting date for the position be Monday, April 30, 1990. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey adopt/not adopt Resolution #09-04- to offer the position of Data Entry Clerk to Nancy Blanchette with a effective date of April 30, 1990. The annual starting rate of pay for the position in salary grade 1 is $12,939. The anniversary of position date would be April 30, 1990 and the usual six-month (1,040 hours) probation would be in affect. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 24th day of April, 1990.
