I appreciate the time you took <br />to share your thoughts with me on this issue. <br /> <br /> As you know, there have been some suggestions about modifying <br />the CDBG program, as part of the overall reforming of the <br />Department of Housing and Urban Development. The HUD scandal is <br />one of the worst in recent history, and I believe that that <br />department needs a good going over. <br /> <br /> However, like you, I realize the importance of CDBG funds to <br />our state, many of its localities, and many private and <br />non-profit organizations that serve the needs of Minnesotans in a <br />variety of areas.
