Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #90-05- RESOLUTION RECEIVING PRICE QUOTES AND AWARDING FOR SERVICE PROJECT #90-1 (STREET CRACK FILLING) AND 1990 BUDGET AMENDMENT #6 CONTRACT ADOPTING WHEREAS, pursuant to a request for price quotes for Service Project 4/90-1, quotes were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following quotes were received complying with the request: Amount of Total Bid Bidder Base Bid w/Alternate~ Bergman Co., Inc. Munn Blacktop, Inc. Bituminous Roadways, Inc. Astech Asphalt $8,064 $13,440 $8,820 $14,700 $9,072 $15,120 $9,240 $15,400 AND WHEREAS, it appears that Bergman Companies, Inc. of Eau Claire, Wisconsin is the lowest responsible bidder; and WHEREAS, this project was not funded in the 1990 General Fund Budget under Sub- Function 3311: Street Maintenance; and WHEREAS, funding for this project is available in the 1990 General Fund Budget under Sub-Function 8920: Expenditure Reserve; and WHEREAS, this Budget Amendment does not increase nor decrease the City's total 1990 Budget. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: l) That the Mayor and City Administrator/Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Bergman Companies, Inc. of Eau Claire, Wisconsin in the name of the City of Ramsey for Service Project 4/90-1 according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the Ramsey City Council and on file in the office of the City Administrator/Clerk. 2) That the City Administrator/Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. 3) That the Finance Officer of the City of Ramsey is hereby instructed to enter a 1990 Budget Amendment (//6) to the City of Ramsey's financial systems to cause Sub-Function 331 l's 1990 Budget to increase by $13,440 and to further cause a decrease in Sub-Function 8920's 1990 Budget by the same amount. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: by and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 8th day of May, 1990.
