Councilmember moved for its adoption: introduced the following resolution and RESOLUTION #90-05- RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF PARK EQUIPMENT FOR CENTRAL PARK WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has approved the 1990 Parks Capital Improvements Budget which includes $10,000.00 plus overhead for purchase of playground equipment for Central Park; and- WHEREAS, said funds, overhead, and contingency (the total amount not to exceed $13,000.00) are to be appropriated from the General Fund 1990 Budget for Parks Capital Improvements; and WHEREAS, the Park and Recreation Commission, at their May 10, 1990 meeting, discussed various equipment and authorized the chairman to consult with Merland Otto to select the pieces of equipment; and WHEREAS, Landscape Structures model 9010 in Redwood with tenderdecks was selected at a wholesale list price of $9,931.00. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That City Staff is directed to purchase said equipment in accordance with City purchasing procedures. 2) That City Staff is directed to install the equipment at the park this year. 3) That Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. provide a layout sketch for placement of the equipment at the park. 4) That freight, purchase of sand, border timbers, and items incidental to the project are hereby authorized, if necessary, and that a resilient surface under and around the play apparatus shall be provided. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 22nd day of May, 1990.
