REVIEW CONCEPT DRAWINGS OF COUNCIL CHAMBERS LECTURN
By: David R. Hartley, City Administrator

Background:

Following the construction of the Council Chambers table, Duane Jones of D&E Cabinets
and Millworks was asked to sketch a concept drawing of a lectern for the City Council
Chambers. Those drawings are included for your review.

At the time, the request was to create something similar to the Council's table that would
afford speakers a place to lay notes or drawings while addressing the City Council. Note
the width of this sketch is 36" wide which allows for individuals to place large drawings on
the lectern. However, by having the width 36", the lectern becomes massive and may
restrict the view of either Councilmembers or the public. If the general concept is
acceptable to the City Council, I would suggest we reducing the width of the lectern.

Council Action:

Review concept drawings and request staff to obtain a quotation from D&E Cabinets and
Millworks.

Review Checklist:

City Administrator
City Attorney
City Engineer
Community Development Director
Public Works Supervisor

X

Chief of Police
Finance Officer
Planning & Zoning Commission
Park & Recreation Commission
Other
